June 2, 2007 Severe Weather Event

A complex of thunderstorms developed over Central Michigan and moved northeast across much of Northern Lower Michigan during the evening hours.   This was primarily a wind event, with numerous reports of trees and powerlines down across the area.   A lightning strike may have been responsible for a several county telephone outage in the Traverse City and Cadillac area.
