June 8, 2007 Severe Weather Event

An area of thunderstorms developed over Lake Michigan during the late evening on June 7th and moved onshore around Manistee County around midnight.   The thunderstorms took on a "bowing" line structure for a time between midnight and 2 am.  Numerous reports of wind damage were reported with this line of storms, especially between Manistee eastward toward Interstate-75.    There were sporadic power outages also reported, with most of them focused within the main wind damage area from Manistee eastward to Interstate-75.
