Chronology of Events

A.   6:30 PM - Montmorency County - Tornado first touches down near County Road 451 and
      brings down several trees

B.  House damaged at the intersection of Rust Rd. and Bell Rd., roof
     damaged, windows broken and shed destroyed at this location

C.  Barn and silo destroyed along M-32, debris spread approximated 150 yards

D.  Several trees downed near the intersection of Farrier Rd and M-32, house without
      power

E.  House with shingle damage, another house damaged by falling trees and barn
     destroyed at the intersection of Rea Rd and M-32

F.  6:45 PM - Alpena County - Billboard damaged and several trees downed at the
     Thunder Bay Golf Resort just over the Alpena County line

NWS STORM SURVEY TRACED SPORADIC TORNADO DAMAGE FROM 1/2 MILE 
SOUTHWEST OF RUST TO 1 MILE EAST OF HILLMAN.  SEVERAL TREES DOWN 
SOUTHWEST OF RUST, WITH HOUSE DAMAGE FIRST NOTICED NEAR INTERSECTION 
OF RUST AND BELL ROADS.  ROOF DAMAGE, WINDOWS BROKEN, AND SHED 
DESTROYED AT THAT LOCATION.  TORNADO REMAINED ON THE GROUND THROUGH 
AN ADJACENT FIELD, DESTROYING A FARM/SILO AND AN 80 YEAR OLD FARM 
HOUSE.  DEBRIS FOUND ABOUT 150 YARDS FROM THE FARM HOUSE, WITH DAMAGE
ENDING BY M-32.  TORNADO THEN TOUCHED DOWN AGAIN NEAR M-32 AND 
FARRIER ROAD.  NUMEROUS TREES DOWN AT THIS LOCATION, WITH HOME 
WITHOUT POWER.  NO DAMAGE NOTED AGAIN UNTIL M-32 AND REA ROAD.  ONE 
HOUSE WITH SHINGLE DAMAGE, MORE SIGNIFICANT DAMAGE TO HOUSE ACROSS 
THE ROAD ON M-32.  SEVERAL TREES DOWN AT THAT PROPERTY, WITH TREE ON 
THE HOUSE AND BARN IN THE BACKYARD DESTROYED.  NO DAMAGE SEEN AGAIN 
UNTIL JUST EAST OF HILLMAN. EAST OF HILLMAN A BILLBOARD WAS 
PARTIALLY BLOWN OVER ON THE ALPENA/MONTMORENCY COUNTY LINE ON M-32. 
AT THE THUNDER BAY GOLF RESORT, AT LEAST 20 TREES DOWN (MAINLY 
AROUND THE 10TH AND 11TH HOLES).
