NOAA Weather Radio Dedication
at Prairie du Chien
On August 31st, 1999 a dedication for two new NOAA Weather Radio transmitters in southwest Wisconsin was conducted. These new
transmitters (WWG-86, WWG-89) provide weather radio coverage to a portion of Wisconsin which previously had no radio
coverage. This dedication was the conclusion of a 4 year grass-roots campaign to improve weather radio coverage for the area.
