What month are tornadoes most likely for this part of the country? What time of the day? Following are the 4 basic types of severe weather and answers to just those kind of questions. The graphs and numbers are based on reports received for the NWS-La Crosse's warning area (western Wisconsin, southeast Minnesota, and northeast Iowa).

Hail (3/4 inch or greater) Months where severe hail is more likely. Time of day when severe hail is more likely.	Damaging winds (58 mph or greater) Months where damaging winds are more likely. Time of the day when damaging winds are more likely.
Flash flooding Months where flash flooding is more likely. Time of the day when flash flooding usually starts. Average duration for flash flood events.	Tornadoes Months where tornadoes are more likely. Time of the day when torndoes are more likely. Usual strengths (based on the Fujita scale) for tornadic events.
