The highest temperature ever recorded in North Dakota was 121 degrees in Steele on July 6, 1936.

Looking at the temperature records for Bismarck, the longest period without exceeding 100 degrees was from August  28, 1991 (101 degrees) to July 28, 1999 (106 degrees).  The most consecutive days with 100 degrees or more was eight (July 5-12, 1936).  Finally, the warmest overnight low was 83 degrees set on July 11, 1936.
