What You Can Do To Prepare For A Flash Flood:


  • Flash floods are especially dangerous because they can occur within a few minutes or hours of excessive rainfall.

  • So what can you do to prepare?

  • Know your area's flood risk and evacuation routes. Be familiar with the land features where you live, work, and play. It may be in a low area, near a drainage ditch or small stream, or below a dam.
