MOISTURE WILL CONTINUE TO INCREASE THIS EVENING WITH A FEW HIGH BASED SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS POSSIBLE OVER THE MOUNTAINS...SOUTHERN FOOTHILLS AND PALMER DIVIDE. GUSTY WINDS TO 35 MPH WILL BE POSSIBLE NEAR THE STORMS. AFTER MIDNIGHT THERE WILL BE A SLIGHT CHANCE FOR SNOW SHOWERS OVER THE MOUNTAINS WITH DRY CONDITIONS ELSEWHERE. SOUTHWEST FLOW ALOFT WILL CONTINUE OVER THE AREA SATURDAY. MOISTURE WILL CONTINUE TO STREAM INTO THE REGION WITH A CHANCE FOR SHOWERS BY THE AFTERNOON. IN ADDITION THERE WILL BE A CHANCE FOR THUNDERSTORMS...MAINLY OVER THE MOUNTAINS AND ALONG THE PALMER DIVIDE. BRIEF MODERATE RAIN WILL BE POSSIBLE WITH THE STORMS ALONG WITH GUSTY WINDS TO 35 MPH. A WEAK FRONT WILL MOVE ACROSS THE PLAINS DURING THE MORNING WITH WINDS BECOMING NORTHERLY. TEMPERATURES WILL BE COOLER WITH HIGHER HUMIDITY. LONG TERM DISCUSSION...SATURDAY NIGHT THROUGH WEDNESDAY... AN UPPER LEVEL TROUGH WILL MOVE ACROSS THE AREA SATURDAY NIGHT WITH SCATTERED SHOWERS AND A FEW THUNDERSTORMS LINGERING THROUGH THE EVENING ESPECIALLY OVER THE PALMER DIVIDE AREA.
