Developmental Probabilistic Snow Accumulation Forecast
National Weather Service Denver/Boulder, Colorado
1414 MST Monday, March 2, 2015

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
This developmental product contains the probabilities (%) that the given snow
amounts (inches) will occur at Denver International Airport during the respec-
tive 6- or 12-hour periods. The probabilities indicate the amount of snow that
will fall from the clouds. They do not consider the amount of melting that may
or may not occur on various ground surfaces. [T (trace) means more than zero.]
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Short Term Discussion (03/00Z-04/00Z): Main issue tonight may be blowing snow
after 04Z. There may be a push of west winds off the foothills with gusts to
25 knots. Some models show this and some don't. Would expect winds to
increase after midnight with the approach of a cold front. No snow is expected
tonight, but can't be ruled out. Could even be warm enough for rain
overnight. Cold front will move through around 4 AM. Best chance for snow
behind the front will occur late Tuesday afternoon and evening as upslope and
moisture deepens.
