National Weather Service Forecast Offices produce daily and monthly climate summaries
for selected cities within their respective service areas. These climate summaries are available
through each office's local climate page.
National Weather Service Cooperative Weather Observations and certain airport
weather observations are collected and archived into a national database. This database (called NOWdata)
is updated daily and can be accessed and queriedhere.
The National Climatic Data Center in Asheville, N.C., is the world's largest reservoir of archived climate and weather data. Official weather records date back to 1895. You can obtain certified weather information for a court case, building project or other purpose.
Global Summary of Day: Get global daily data for various elements, such as, temperature, precipitation, snow depth, wind speed, etc. at this site. It is updated weekly.
United States Climate at a Glance: View United States temperature and precipitation maps for any month, season or year dating back to 1900.
These pages graphically show the short-term observed and climatic trends of precipitation across the lower 48 United States and Puerto Rico.
National Radar Images: View hourly archived radar images dating back to April 1997. Daily radar images are available for April 1995 to April 1997.
United States Snow Climatology: View snowfall data, including information about normal snowfall and extreme events for all 50 states.
National Snow Analyses: Use interactive tools to obtain a variety of information about current and past snow conditions, including snowfall and snow depth. Information at this site is updated daily, and includes a 3 year archive.
NOAA and academic users have unlimited free access to the following sites below. Other users may need to pay a fee to access all available data.
Weather Observation Station Records: Search for United States weather data by city, county, or zip code. Obtain certified weather records for a court case.
Climate Data Online: User-driven data selection by country, state, station, time series, etc; from various datasets, for full period of record available
