1995, Bucklin, KS Tornado




In 1995, Western Kansas Groundwater Management District weather modification pilot Chris Grilliot happened to have his camera along while seeding a super cell storm near Bucklin, Kansas. Chris snapped a few pictures of the storm as it spun-up a nice tornado. He was kind enough to loan a few of the pictures to us for display on this page.

In the pictures you can see the burner at the wing tip being used to seed the storm in an effort to suppress hail.
