In the box below, please enter the following:
the EXACT date and time of the event
the EXACT location (including the county and state) of the
event in relation to a town or road/highway intersection (i.e. 2
miles NW of Garden City)
a brief (but enough to completely describe what happened)
description of the event
your name, phone number, and affiliation
your willingness to furnish any available photographic or videotaped
evidence of the event, upon request
A disclaimer: there is no guarantee that all or any of your
reports will be published in Storm Data. This is due to many factors, such
as whether or not a warning has already been verified by others, or the
significance of the report when it is already verified (dime sized hail
isn't significant except in large quantities). The workload on the one or
two individuals who must process several thousand storm reports a year is
enormous and duplicate reports compounds our verification. However, even if
a warning is verified, if the report IS significant, it will be used. When
done, click on the "Submit" button at the bottom of the box.
