June 6th 1999 was a major straight-line wind event that took place in northwest Wisconsin. The storm damage pictures are from the Ashland County Fairgrounds in Marengo, WI; approximatly $150,000 in damages. They lost 20 feet of the grandstand's roof (which was blown 300 yards), many trees, a mobile home was destroyed, and 25 percent of the cow barn was destroyed when it was pushed 10 feet off its base.  Photos used with permission.
