THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR PORTIONS OF CENTRAL IOWA.

.DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT

PATCHY FREEZING DRIZZLE IS POSSIBLE TODAY...MAINLY IN THE MORNING.
VIRTUALLY NO ICE ACCUMULATION IS EXPECTED BUT THERE COULD BE SLICK
SPOTS ON A FEW ROADS.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...SATURDAY THROUGH THURSDAY

FREEZING DRIZZLE WILL BE POSSIBLE ACROSS THE AREA LATE TONIGHT
INTO SATURDAY MORNING...THEN AGAIN MAINLY NORTH OF INTERSTATE 80
FROM SATURDAY NIGHT INTO SUNDAY. ANY ICE ACCUMULATIONS WILL BE
VERY LIGHT...BUT COULD LEAD TO TRAVEL DIFFICULTIES IF ROADS BECOME
ICY.

A LARGE STORM SYSTEM IS SET TO PRODUCE PRECIPITATION ACROSS THE
REGION EARLY NEXT WEEK. A WINTRY MIX WILL BE POSSIBLE ACROSS
NORTHERN IOWA ON MONDAY...WITH PRECIPITATION CHANGING OVER TO SNOW
FROM NORTHWEST TO SOUTHEAST ON MONDAY NIGHT. AT THIS TIME ANY ICE
AND SNOW ACCUMULATIONS APPEAR LIKELY TO BE LIGHT...BUT THIS SYSTEM
SHOULD BE MONITORED CLOSELY IN THE COMING DAYS.
