The "View from above" around 11am EST, February 2nd, 2002. 
This is a visible satellite photograph taken from GOES East.  The white color you will see is snow cover stretching
from northern Illinois into Michigan.  Interesting to see that in extreme southern Monroe County, little snowcover is observed.
Also of interest is the band of clouds over Lake Huron...this is a lake effect snow band.
