....LOCALLY HEAVY SNOW SHOWERS OVER THE TIP OF THE THUMB...

A EAST TO NORTHEAST WIND OVER SOUTHERN LAKE HURON HAS SET UP
A FEW BANDS OF LAKE EFFECT SNOW OVER THE THUMB REGION OF
SOUTHEAST LOWER MICHIGAN.

ONE VERY NARROW BAND OF HEAVY SNOW SHOWERS EXTENDS EAST/WEST
ACROSS THE NORTHEAST TIP OF THE THUMB. THIS BAND OF SNOW SHOWERS
IS MAINLY BOUNDED BY PORT HOPE TO FILION ON THE SOUTH SIDE
(OR FILLION ROAD)...AND STODDARD ROAD ON THE NORTH SIDE.
SNOWFALLS OF GENERALLY 4 TO 6 INCHES HAVE FALLEN IN THIS
AREA.

OTHER SCATTERED BANDS OF SNOW...PRODUCING 1 TO 3 INCHES
OF SNOW...HAVE OCCURRED OVER OTHER AREAS OF THE THUMB.
THESE AREAS WERE MAINLY ALONG AND NORTH OF M 142 AND
ALONG THE LAKE HURON SHORELINE IN SANILAC AND EXTREME
NORTHERN ST CLAIR COUNTY.
