Important note about the availability of climate records: Our primary climate sites are Dubuque, IA and Moline, IL, which have complete climate records dating back to the late 1800s. Cedar Rapids and Burlington, IA are secondary climate sites. While data also dates back to the 1800s, the available data is limited to the normal and record high and low temperatures. Both Davenport and Iowa City, IA are new sites, with observations beginning in the mid 1990s. Only observed climate data is available. Normals and records will not be calculated for several years until a sufficient period of record has elapsed.
These data are preliminary and have not undergone final quality control by the National Climatic Data Center (NCDC). Therefore, these data are subject to revision. Final and certified climate data can be accessed at the NCDC - http://www.ncdc.noaa.gov.
