The average temperature for the year was 55.2 degrees or 1.0 degree above the normal of 54.2 degrees. This ranks as the 63rd warmest year on record (out of 122 years). Three months had below normal temperatures, with one month of near average, and eight months of above average temperatures.

Highest temperature: 103 degrees on August 13th.

Lowest temperature: 5 degrees below zero on January 2nd.

The warmest daily average temperature was 90 degrees on August 9th with a high of 99 degrees and a low of 80 degrees.

The coldest daily average temperature was 2 degrees on January 8th with a high of 6 and a low of 3 degrees below zero.

The lowest afternoon high temperature was 6 degrees on January 8th.

The highest overnight low temperature was 80 degrees on July 19th, July 23rd, August 3rd, and August 9th.

Temperatures:

The average temperature for the year was 53.1 degrees or 0.9 degrees below the normal of 54.0 degrees. This ranks as the 61st warmest year on record (out of 100 years, though it should be noted several years of missing data exist at St Joseph). Five months had below normal temperatures, with four months of near average, and three months of above average temperatures.

Highest temperature: 97 degrees on August 12th  

Lowest temperature: 17 degrees below zero on January 4th.

The warmest daily average temperature was 87 degrees on August 7th with a high of 95 degrees and a low of 79 degrees.

The coldest daily average temperature was 4 degree below zero on January 4th with a high of 8 degrees and a low of 17 degrees below zero.

The lowest afternoon high temperature was 4 degrees on January 8th.  

The highest overnight low temperature was 79 degrees on August 9th. 

For the entire year, one record low was equaled or exceeded.

Precipitation:

Three daily rainfall records were exceeded on May 10th, July 4th, and August 20th.

There were 60 days with thunderstorms.

The total snowfall for the 2008-2009 winter season was 38.6 inches, with the calendar year snowfall of 21.2.
