The average temperature at the Kansas City International Airport was 49.9 degrees, which was 7.2 degrees above normal. The average high temperature was 59.1 degrees or 7.1 degrees above normal. The average low temperature was 40.6 degrees which was 7.2 degrees above normal. The highest temperature for the month was 75 degrees on the 1st. The lowest temperature was 24 degrees on the 30th. November 2009 has tied for the 9th warmest November on record for Kansas City.

Precipitation came in at 2.25 inches for the month, or 0.05 inches below normal. The greatest total in a 24 hour period was 1.00 inches on the 16th through the 17th. Snowfall for the month was 1.2 inches, or 0.1 inches below normal.

At Saint Joseph, the average temperature was 47.0 degrees, which was 4.7 degrees above normal. The average high was 57.9 degrees which was 4.9 degrees above normal. The average low temperature was 36.1 degrees which was 4.6 degrees above normal. The highest temperature was 76 degrees on the 7th. The lowest temperature was 22 degrees on the 30th.

Precipitation at Saint Joseph was 2.24 inches, or 0.08 inches above normal. The greatest total in a 24 hour period was 1.35 inches on the 16th through the 17th. Snowfall for the month was a trace.

...Other Records Set in Kansas City in the month of November...

Two other very interesting records were set in the month of November in Kansas City due to the unseasonably warm conditions. First, the date of latest hard freeze (defined as the temperature reaching 28 degrees) did not occur until November 30th, breaking the old record by 1 day.
