A slow moving storm system, once again produced widespread heavy rainfall across portions of the Midwest Wednesday night and Thursday.  The heaviest rainfall fell along a line from central to northeast Kansas, southeastern Nebraska, northwest Missouri, and southwest Iowa where rainfall totals generally ranged from 2-4 inches.

This heavy rainfall has once again produced flooding on some rivers in northwest Missouri and also on the Missouri River.  The image below depicts rainfall totals provided by NWS cooperative weather observers and river gauges across the area.  For additional rainfall imagery, please visit the NWS Precipitation Analysis page to view an interactive map of rainfall data for the entire United States.
