The average high temperature for the season was 45.6 degrees, which is 6.1 degrees above normal, while the average low temperature was 23.4 degrees, which is 3.9 degrees above normal. The highest temperature of the season was 65 degrees recorded on January 5th, and the lowest temperature of 2 degrees occurred on February 12th.

The total precipitation at St Joseph Rosecrans Memorial airport for the winter 2011-2012 season (December-February) was 5.00 inches, which is 1.99 inches above the 30-year average (1981-2010). This would rank winter 2011-12 as the 16th wettest winter season in the longer term 111 year record in St Joseph.
