...June 19, 2008 Severe Weather Summary...

Another round of severe weather moved across the region during the afternoon and evening hours of June 19th.  Several reports of hail greater than 1" were reported in the area, with wind damage reported near the city of Sedalia.  However, the biggest impact of the severe weather tonight was more heavy rain.  Widespread areas of 1-2 inches were reported in northern Missouri, with locations near Napoleon and Knob Noster receiving the highest impacts with radar indications of 3-4 inches in some locations.  All of this rainfall in a short amount of time produced flash flooding with the closure of several roads in Harrison, Johnson, and Livingston counties this evening.
