100 mph Winds Rip Through Randolph County

A powerful storm system moved through the Lower Missouri Valley Sunday and Sunday Night bringing severe thunderstorms to the region. Severe storms initially developed in eastern Kansas and tracked south of Kansas City producing 1.5" to 2" hail in Miami County Kansas and Cass County Missouri. The storms eventually evolved into a bow echo that moved through portions of central and northeastern Missouri producing extensive wind damage.
