...Snowfall Accumulations from January 29-30, 2010...
Snowfall spread across much of southern Kansas and southern Missouri January 29, spreading eastward into the lower Mississippi River Valley on the 30th. While much of the Pleasant Hill forecast area only received a glancing blow from this storm system, areas of southern Missouri received upwards of 5 to 8 inches of snow. Locally though, the heaviest snowfall (mainly in pockets) was reported in areas along and south of a line from Osawatomie to Sedalia where upwards of 2 to 5 inches of snow were reported.
Below is a snowfall accumulation graphic with 24 hour totals from the 29-30th. Additional light snow of around a half inch to an inch had fallen during the overnight hours of the 28th which was not added into this graphic.
