Winter Storm December 17-18, 2005


A band of snow produced 2 to 4 inches of snow from east central Kansas through northwest Missouri. Accumulations were the most significant during the day on Saturday (12/17). Amounts of 3 to 4 inches were common in the Saint Joseph, Atchison, Leavenworth, and Platte City areas.

Snow spread into northern Missouri Saturday afternoon and Saturday night, but snow amounts were generally less than 2 inches east of a line from Gallatin to Smithville, Missouri.
