June 4, 2005: Holden Tornado Track

A line of thunderstorms moved through west central Missouri during the early morning of June fourth. Storms interacted with a warm front as they tracked into Johnson county Missouri. Around 650 am, a tornado spun up southwest of Holden near the intersection of the warm front and the line of thunderstorms. As the tornado tracked northeast, it crossed Highway 131 producing F1 damage to Miller's Horse Farm. A barn was destroyed and the farm house suffered significant damage. The tornado dissipated around 705 am 2 miles east of Holden.

A damage survey conducted by the National Weather Service found an 8 mile track of tornado damage which was 75 yards wide.
