THE OVERALL THEME FOR THE SPRING OF 2014 WAS COOL AND SLIGHTLY WET.
WHILE SNOWFALL AMOUNTS WERE ACTUALLY BELOW AVERAGE DURING THE EARLY
PART OF THE SEASON...RAINFALL IN LATE APRIL AND INTO MAY MORE THAN
MADE UP FOR THE LACK OF MOISTURE. TOTAL PRECPITATION WAS MORE THAN
HALF AN INCH ABOVE LONG TERM AVERAGES.

WHILE ONLY ONE RECORD LOW WAS SET ON APRIL 15...THE SPRING OF 2014
WAS ANOTHER COLDER THAN AVERAGE YEAR. THIS IS EVEN INCLUDING A SHARP
WARM UP DURING THE LAST WEEK IN MAY WHERE FARGO FINALLY REACHED THE
80S AND 90S. WITH COOL AND OFTEN WET CONDITIONS BECOMING HOT RIGHT
AT THE END OF MAY...IT MAY FEEL TO SOME THAT WE WENT STRAIGHT INTO
SUMMER.
