Summary
February 2006 was a warm and very dry month.
Flooding
There was no river flooding in February. There were also no flash flood events.
General Hydrologic Information
Temperatures in February were above normal across the entire region. Average temperatures for the month were 1.0 to 3.0 degrees above the 30 year average.
Precipitation for the month was below normal for all of the region. Precipitation totals were 23% to 33% of normal.
Soil Moisture conditions at the end of February were near normal across the far southern and western portions of the region, and up to 2 inches above normal in the northeast. The National Drought Monitor indicated no drought conditions for any of the region.
