General Hydrologic Information
Temperatures in August were slightly above to above normal across the region, with most areas running 2 to 4 degrees above the 30 year average. Precipitation for the month was near normal to below normal. Most of the region received 1 to 3 inches.
Stream flows at the end of September were near normal to slightly above normal. The long term drought indices showed near normal conditions across the entire region, with the exception of the areas along and west of the Missouri River in South Dakota where abnormally dry conditions persisted.
