Track of thunderstorms across southeast South Dakota and northwest Iowa
Between 6:30 PM CDT and 9:30 PM CDT, 3 severe cells were tracked across Southeast South Dakota.  The first two (blue  and magenta) were multicells and each remained severe for approximately one hour.  The last cell (red), which developed around 7:15, became supercellular and produced most of the severe weather observed.  This cell eventually evolved into a bow echo.

Also shown are location of severe weather reports - A## denoting hail with size ## hundredths of an inch, G## wind gusts to ## mph, and TORN indicates a tornado.
