John A. Nelson from Nance County Receives 15 Year Length of Service Award   

Since March 6, 1991, John A. Nelson has measured 24 hour precipitation, snowfall and snow depth in Nance County, Nebraska. John also frequently calls the National Weather Service office in Hastings to report severe or inclement weather, which is an invaluable service. Mr. Nelson is a very organized and charismatic individual, who is locally known for his expertise in making expressive wood carvings and statues.
