Rex Liedkte - Cooperative Weather Observer in rurul York County - receives 20 Year Length-of-Service Award

Mr. Rex Liedtke, a Cooperative Weather Observer in rural York County, near Gresham, was recently presented with his 20 Year Length-of-Service Award and a 20 Year pin, by Mr. Ryan Pfannkuch, representing the National Weather Service office in Hastings, Nebraska. Rex has continued to do a great job in measuring precipitation, snowfall, and snow depth at his location. Rex Liedtke first began taking weather observations on August 1st, 1986 for the National Weather Service. This cooperative weather station was begun in August 1950.
