Thunderstorms developed in the Nebraska panhandle during the afternoon hours on August 6th, and rolled eastward and reached south central Nebraska during the late evening hours.  The storms continued into the overnight/early morning hours on August 7th, producing heavy rainfall.  The heaviest rain fell north of Highway 92 in south central Nebraska, and several locations tallied amounts over an inch.  Greeley had the highest rainfall total of 1.90 inches.
