Husker Harvest Days 2006 - National Weather Service Hastings

A record number of 550 exhibitors greeted those visiting the 2006 edition of the Husker Harvest Days farm exhibition held from September 12th through September 14th, 2006.  Just one glance at the large numbers traipsing across the Husker Harvest Days grounds, served notice at how well received and effective this farm exhibition is.

Husker Harvest Days is produced by Farm Progress Shows and is a huge event for farmers across central Nebraska.  This exhibition gives farmers, along with the general public, a vehicle to view the latest technologies, and also provides information on how to improve crop yields and efficiencies. It does help to highlight central Nebraska for our irrigated farm land and efficient farmers. Husker Harvest Days brings hundreds of exhibitors and thousands of spectators to the Grand Island area. This farm exhibition show continues to grow and has become an integral part of the farming industry regionally.

The Hastings National Weather Service office was again represented at Husker Harvest Days, in our booth which was located in the Diversified Industries tent.
Approximately 1200 people stopped by the NWS booth and chatted with the Hastings National Weather Service staff members during the exhibition.
