March 12th, 2006 Severe Weather Summary

On March 12th, 2006 thunderstorms developed rapidly early Sunday morning, along an elevated warm front which lifted north through Kansas. 
The storms moved rapidly northeast at 55  to 60 MPH.  Numerous hail reports of pea to as large as one inch diameter were received from storm
spotters and emergency management officials, over parts of north central Kansas and south central Nebraska.

a 4 panel image of the four lowest slices of a severe thunderstorm just north of Deshler and approaching the town of Belvidere.

a 4 panel image of the four lowest slices of a severe thunderstorm over the town of Ohiowa in Fillmore County.
This particular storm produced hail up to one inch in diameter at both Ohiowa and Milligan.

back deck.
