April 2007 was a month with record cold temperatures and precipitation.  Average daily temperatures the first half of the month were 10 to 20 degrees colder than normal...and it was the coldest two weeks in early April in over 100 years at Hebron and Superior.  For the month...it was the third coldest April on record at Phillipsburg...and the 6th coldest April of record for Greeley...Superior and Plainville. 

Heavy rain around the 24th and 25th also set Top Ten monthly precipitation records.  Holdrege registered it’s wettest April of record since 1894...knocking out the previous all-time record of 8.16 inches set in April 1944.  It was also the 4th wettest April at Beaver City...and the 10th wettest at Kearney and Gothenburg.
