Another batch of strong to severe thunderstorms rolled from north to south across parts of central and south central Nebraska during the late afternoon and evening on Friday, June 20th,  resulting in several reports of hail and strong gusty winds.

One isolated supercell thunderstorm was a prolific hail producer across parts of northern Dawson County, with areas north of Cozad and Lexington reporting quarter to golf ball size hail falling for 5-10 minutes...breaking windows, damaging siding and wreaking havoc on crops.

Farther east, a separate cluster of storms raced south from the Ord area toward Grand Island, where a 60 MPH wind gust was recorded at the Central Nebraska Regional Airport. These storms continued southeast toward Sutton and Geneva as they gradually weakenend and exited the area.
