AS DEPICTED IN THE IMAGE BELOW...A DEEP LOW PRESSURE SYSTEM OVER FAR EASTERN KANSAS INTO WESTERN MISSOURI LATE SATURDAY AFTERNOON INTO SATURDAY NIGHT...PRODUCED A RAPID CHANGE IN PRESSURE FROM WEST TO EAST ACROSS THE REGION.  THIS RESULTED IN STRONG NORTH TO NORTHWEST WINDS OF 30 TO 40 MPH WITH GUSTS IN EXCESS OF 50 MPH IN SEVERAL LOCATIONS.
