Ernest Kuhl of Harlan County Receives 15 Year Length Of Service Award   

Since April 1, 1991, Mr. Ernest Kuhl has been a Cooperative Weather Observer in Harlan County, Nebraska.  Mr. Kuhl has been responsible for measuring 24 hour precipitation, snowfall and snow depth. When requested, Ernest also reads the wire weight river gage on the Republican River.  Ernest Kuhl has also reported severe or inclement weather when it has occurred in and near Orleans. Mr. Kuhl is known for his personable nature and friendliness.

Marla K. Doxey, Data Acquisition Program Manager at NWS Hastings, Nebraska, and Steve Carmel, presented Ernest Kuhl with his 15 Year Length of Service Award.
