Kirk Wilson - Cooperative Weather Observer in rural Jewell County - receives 10 Year Length-of-Service Award

On September 28th, 2006, Mr. Kirk Wilson was the proud recipient of a 10 Year Length-of-Service award which was presented by Marla Doxey, the Data Acquisitions Program Manager from the National Weather Service office in Hastings, Nebraska.

Kirk took over his cooperative weather observation duties on November 1st, 1996. His father, Waldo was the previous observer before his son Kirk assumed the responsibilities. The Wilson family is credited with taking observations since March 1st, 1979.
