Do you want to know more about what to do in hazardous weather?
Or maybe you're just interested in weather and want to know more?
The National Weather Service office in Grand Junction will be conducting weather
spotting classes throughout the year, more frequently during the Spring and early
Summer months. There is no cost for these classes and everyone is invited. Classes
are normally 2 hours in length, with both a basic and advanced class available. Seating
may be limited for some sessions.
If you have already attended the Basic Weather Spotter Training, we encourage you
to attend our new Advanced Spotter Training Course.
For this class, spotters should be comfortable with the basic concepts of storm structure and
storm spotting. The presentation will be more in-depth concerning convective and mesoscale
