Well, its finally here...  The new improved Weather Radio Voices.  A new voice named "Tom" has been introduced into the system, replacing the old "Craig" voice.  The newly installed software allows for a better computer generated voice.  As part of this upgrade, the female voice "Donna" has also received some speech enhancements.  The Gem KS, Lenora KS, Bethune CO, Wray CO, and Trenton NE transmitters have all been upgraded for the new voices.
Our office is currently working on the broadcast dictionary for each of these voices.  So please, drop us a line if you notice some words that are not being  pronounced correctly.
So tune in you local NOAA Weather Radio, take a listen, and let us know what you think of the new "Tom" and improved "Donna" voices.  You can E-Mail us, Send us Feedback via a Web Form, or Call us at 785-899-7119.
