Welcome Rainfall!

During the late afternoon and evening hours of July 15th, scattered slow-moving thunderstorms produced locally heavy rainfall and strong winds. As the evening progressed, the individual thunderstorms merged to form a thunderstorm complex which then moved southeast and continued through the night. All of the Tri-State area received some rainfall with most areas picking up over a half inch. Heaviest totals were recorded in Yuma County, Colorado and Hitchcock County, Nebraska where close to 2.5 inches of rain was reported by cooperative observers and weather spotters.
