- This is one of the warmest December days on record in Lower Michigan. Grand Rapids and Lansing set record highs of 69 degrees. Holland and Flint both hit 70 degrees.

- A prolonged round of lake effect snow began on the morning of December 5th and continued until the evening of the 7th. Two feet of snow piled up in Mason and Oceana Counties and up to 20 inches of snow fell across western Ottawa, Allegan and Van Buren Counties.
