1999 NWS Special Event Statistics

The first NWSSE was held on November 27, 1999. Hams participated from 56 National Weather Service offices and made an accumulated total of 15,888 contacts with other operators across the world. Hams from all 50 states were contacted. Amateurs from 63 countries were also contacted that first year. 

The ham who worked the most National Weather Service stations in 1999 was AB5KP from Pine Bluff, Arkansas. He worked 46 of the 56 sites.
