As can be seen in this image, the KICT WSR-88D perspective fails to capture the very strong, elevated reflectivity core within this supercell since the storm had already moved well into the KICT WSR-88D "cone of silence". Note how the Layer 3 Max Reflectivity (lower right) does not show any reflectivities above 33,000 ft AGL with the supercell approaching west Wichita.
