On this Day in Weather History...
In 1957, an F4 tornado possessing a track 15 miles long and around 300 yards wide, roared across part of extreme South Central Arkansas. Two people were killed and 9 were injured. Five homes were destroyed while a few others were completely swept from their foundations. In 1967, Nature pulled a colossal snow job on Flagstaff, AZ where, after 1 week of snow, the town was buried under nearly 7 feet of snow, 83 inches to be more exact. On 3 days, the 13th, 14th and 19th, Flagstaff received between 15 and 27 inches.
