Hail up to 4 inches and damaging winds slam Central and South Central Kansas (4/21/2005)

Severe storms struck portions of Central and South Central Kansas Wednesday(4/20/05) producing extremely large hail and damaging winds.

Severe storms developed along a dry line shortly before sunset Wednesday evening over west-central Kansas. As the storms progressed east they brought with them very large hail and damaging wind gusts.

Image 1 is a radar image around 8 pm of severe storms that produced hail up to 4 inches. Image 2 is a picture of the four inch hail!! Image 3 is a radar image from around 1030 pm of a storm that produced tree damage over Harper county.
