Monthly Rainfall Sets a Record (10/2/2005)

Following the wettest August on record for Wichita Kansas, September turned out to be the tenth driest.

Wichita Mid Continent airport received 0.62 inches of precipitation for September. The tenth spot previously went to 1980, when 0.67 inches of rain was occurred. The driest September on record was 0.03 inches in 1956. Wichita records date back to 1888.
