How Cool Has It Been This Summer In Wichita? (7/14/2007)

The stats reveal the summer is off to a cooler than normal start.

Wichita typically experiences 11 days of temperatures at or above 90 degrees in June. This June we only had four days with high temperatures at or above 90 degrees.

This June the highest temperature recorded in Wichita was 92 degrees. The last time the highest June temperature was at or below 92 degrees was back in 1975 with a reading of 92 degrees. The last time the highest June temperature was below 92 degrees was back in 1928...with a reading of 89 degrees.

Wichita typically experiences 19 days of temperatures at or above 90 degrees in July. As of the 21st, we have 13 days with high temperatures at or above 90 degrees.

So far this July(through the 21st) our max temperature has only reached or topped our average daily high eight times.
